UCF was #8 in the post-CCG CFP rankings last year.
I think hypothetical undefeated BYU would be #5 right now in the AP Poll, but #6 in the CFP rankings, behind Georgia and Alabama - because of the "eye test." We would top out at #5 in the CFP rankings, unless Clemson were to lose....but even then we would risk being jumped by Oklahoma because of the "13th data point."

Agreed with regard to playoffs. Not with this year’s schedule. NY6 would be a lock if we were 12-0 though.
