One reason I feel Kalani does not praise Bronco and did not build on what he established is because the Lavell era players were butt hurt and felt Bronco did not welcome them in as he should have.

So you had a core of past players that were not happy and felt they were being forgotten. Kalani was their guy. No way he was going to come in and gush on Bronco.

And now you have Bronco era players not happy with how Kalani has no discipline and has tanked this program in many ways.
