Waiting for a stall isn’t an issue.
No. 1, I usually charge at home, and no. 2, I don’t recall ever having to wait while actually on the road. I have had to wait a couple minutes for a spot in the smallish charging station in St. George when visiting, but never long.

The real issue is waiting for it to charge. You have to add about 1 hour per 300 miles of trip. On road trips I usually burn 30 minutes when filling up with gas, so I lose 30 minutes or so per ~300 miles of driving. That’s not a huge deal, but it makes me think twice about taking the Tesla anywhere further than 300 miles. Driving from San Diego to Provo would take 1-2 hours longer than a gas car, so that’s tough to overcome. The good news is that the number of times I want to drive to Provo is limited, so that’s not really a practical limitation for 98% of my driving, either. Still love the car. It’s pretty cool they can release a software update and increase your range or performance, or add new features.
