Out of curiosity I went looking at Notre Dame's scheduling history and I was kind of shocked how similar their schedules were in the early 2000's. Things have changed for them with scheduling since, but it was kind of a surprise to see how consistent their scheduled had been. Every year the schedule was the same core of teams:

Navy
Boston College
Pitt
Michigan state
Army or Air force
Purdue
Michigan
Stanford
USC

They only shifted 3-4 opponents per year. I think for BYU a similar strategy could be very beneficial in growing the program. I know there are some core teams on the schedule but we need more. I would like to see long term deals with the following teams.

Boise State
Utah State
The other state school
Air Force
Liberty
Hawaii
UCF

Some of these teams are already on the schedule for years to come but getting others added on 4-6 year agreements seems like it could be advantageous.
