my son doesn’t want to go to school tomorrow - what should I do?

Got home from witnessing the meltdown in person to find my 12 year old in tears asking if could stay home tomorrow from school. He doesn’t want to face all the Utah fans that will make fun of him and ridicule him. I’m trying to give him the talk to take it like a man but he’s saying you have no idea how mean they are to BYU fans. I’ve never seen him so distraught about something. Tough times for Cougar fans.
