These things happen on another teams home court
That's why playing neutral court is the only way now to go with a rival who is non conference.

Regardless of the officiating you also deal with the supposed rims even the 🏀 can be different then what you play with normally.

Normally BYU would roll that Ute team in a tournament on a neutral floor with non-Pac12 officiating whom are not being influenced by the crowd.

Oh and anyone claiming officials are not affected by crowds are just plain being naive. I know on a personal level one NCAA ref and a couple high school level refs. They would like to believe home crowds don't affect their calls but they admit that one of the coaches can tick them off or they are more familiar with one of the team's and that team has figured what they will call or not call.

Basketball officiating can be very interputive and subjective. Unless we get to the day with AI officiating we will always have to deal with subjective if not biased officials. They just can't help themselves.

So when I see overly blaming the officials comments or comments defending the undying integrity of the officials it just makes me laugh.

I also thing basketball refs have way too much influence over a game. Calling two quick fouls on a team or alternating calling it right then letting them play later on is not fair if you don't see those refs often.
