That driver left a note and was very nice about it. We told her that we would get some estimates if they didn't want to involve their insurance company in the settlement. That way, they could just pay us and not have their insurance dinged. If I recall, the repairs were estimated at $800 or so. Their deductible was $500. I told my daughter to explain to them that they'd be better off just paying the extra $300, since they'd already have to pay the $500 deductible. They decided not to, and went through insurance. So, for $300, they have a ding on their insurance. Not worth it in my opinion.

The guy at Jimmy's Love Bug made the repair for $400 in cash. Thanks to a nice CB referral. He does good work.
