...I see Seljaas and Harding all the time passing on open shots and giving the ball to guys who are covered forcing them to try and create something. Pope commented recently on having to get on Seljaas (iirc) for passing on open shots and being hesitant to shoot.
I don’t know what it is but the only guy it seems that consistently has a dawg mentality on offense is Toolson and often he ends up having to try and do too much because of it. Half the time this year Haws seems mentally checked out, not sure why he’s so moody/mercurial on the court. Barcello started the year on fire and he seems to have mellowed out too, kind of like McKay Cannon a couple years ago.
Seljaas and Harding both could be real backbreakers on this team, with as much attention that teams put on defending Toolson and Haws, If they would just be aggressive in looking for their shot. Instead, both at times seem very reluctant to shoot even when wide open. It seems like they don’t have any confidence at times.
