Nah, the nfl is great because every team controls if they win a division or not
You actually get to play everyone in your division at home and on the road. Pretty fair system to determine division winners and they make it valuable to those who win their division.

And they get rewarded for it. They make the playoffs. Don’t over reward them and give them a home playoff game
