Thats basically the logic used in picking a lot of the top 25 teams. The Name
Miami for example has been a top 10 team to start the past few years yet they havent even been good let alone dominant for about 30 years. Evenif you look at some of these teams that are in the top 25 at least a couple weeks a year from just a simple season W/L standpoint there are some like Flordia who hasn’t been consistantly good since the Tebow/Meyer era which was OVER A DECADE AGO. These past two years (assuming they win their bowl) are 2 of only 4 10+ W seasons they've had in the last 10yrs with 5 of the last 10 with 7 or fewer wins.. Similarly after this year UCLA will hit 5 STRAIT losing seasons yet every year many teams like this get and stay ranked often with 2-3 not great losses as if it was just last season they were dominant programs... Just how it goes I guess
