So, I ended up watching some of the game tonight after I said I would not.
On Wednesday of this week my father-in-law (67) went in for shoulder surgery ( he just head back surgery about 3 months ago). My brother-in-law's called and asked if I could sit with him and stay the night tonight. I accepted as this man has done alot for my family and I try to serve him wherever possible.

When I got down there he had the game on and was sitting in his recliner. He knows I am not a university of yewtah fan, but asked me to sit and watch the 2nd half with him. I must admit it, it was extremely gratifying to watch the meltdown of the yewts in that game. Though it was more gratifying to see in the big smile on my father-in-law's face and cheering for Oregon. During the game he kept asking how the Yewts even got to a 5th ranking in the polls as they looked terrible.

After the game and when I got him situated for bed and his pain meds, he still had a big on smile on his face and talking about the game as he dozed off. .

Between the two surgeries and my MIL health failing, it has been a tough past 6 months on my FIL. He has been a long time BYU fan and this was a bit of happiness he needed and was an early Christmas present.

Thx Oregon for showing the nation who the Yewts actually were and for brightening my FIL day.
