while I think the playoff does need to expand to at least 8 teams I don’t think this will have anything to do with it.

The pac12 has proven they don’t belong in the playoffs and don’t deserve to be in the playoffs and everyone knows that so them being out has no effect on an expansion. The Big 12 would have a better argument if they’re left out because top to bottom they’re the 2nd best conference but once again it will still include what are probably the best 4 teams even if the Big 12 is left out. They may be a better conference than the big10, pac12, and ACC top to bottom but that doesn’t make their best team a top 4 team.

This notion that every so called P5 conference deserves a playoff representative is a fallacy.
