Not a soul on the planet was discussing how BYU would match up in the college football playoff.

There is no narrative for you to mess up.

On the other hand discussing how Utah would match up with LSU or Ohio state is legitimate. It was national discussion until Utah played a decent team, because until last night they had not.

Now we know. Utah is a good team. But not close to good enough to really compete with the best.

LSU would curb stomp Utah. Just as LSU did BYU when they played. The "strength" of Utah, the defensive front, got dump trucked.

I know it sucks for you. It could be worse. You could be BYU, a program that had developed a dynamic and esteemed reputation that essentially started the dominoes falling to keep the haves having and the have nots out.

You won the lottery. Because you are only kind of Mormon, but not all the way Mormon.

I don't think there are many who would argue that the Pac 12 made a very strategic error. Hindsight is 20/20...

But the conference of champions has fallen off a cliff since they added Utah and Colorado.

Be happy. You almost got a chance to get dump trucked in the college football playoff. You almost got a chance to maybe even compete in the Rose Bowl.
