for a tv station and the Christmas party was held in the studio. It was actually a night filled with drinking (I didn't participate) and gambling for presents (I participated and won a few times).

However, the best memory is that in one of the side rooms I could monitor the BYU basketball team that night. BYU had a pretty good team and beat Georgia. The following week BYU played in the Maui Invitational and defeated a ranked Oklahoma team and Memphis before getting blown out by number one Duke.

BYU would lose both games to Utah that year (they also had a good team), but would make it into the second round of the NCAAs before losing to Kansas in Ryan Cuff's last game as a Cougar.

Good times: Sanderson, Trost, Durrant, the Reid Brothers, Larsen. Never ranked but got close a few times.
