If you’re a player why do you care how much the bowl pays out, it’s all about location for them. My son of course will be in the Hawaii now as a player but they all preferred to go to Vegas since they spend all day every day in Hawaii.

But if I was a BYU player Hawaii would be fantastic to go to. Basically you get to spend a week in Hawaii doing some pretty cool stuff and then at the end of it you get to play a football game. Awesome. It’s the reason my son chose Hawaii because that’s what he does all week every week.

In fact if I was a Utah player, and honestly a Utah fan, I would have wanted to go to the Holliday bowl, a week in San Diego is sweet. I wouldn’t care about the payout of the Alamo bowl in the least.
