Liberty, ISU, and UMass are exhibition games against teams we have no relationship with.

Conference games mean something in the standing and in rivalries. We get fan hates from WYO/UNM/CSU that make the game mean something. When Wyoming fans are hollering crap and throwing crap at our fans and players, do you think the players want to win? If they lose, do you think we want to lay the wood to them nest year?

Why do we hate SDSU and not Liberty? We don’t give a rat’s behind about Liberty. It was nice to have a closing prayer with them but that’s about it.

Beyond this year, We have absolutely no reason to care about any of the teams we played this year. Not one. In a conference, you build up rivalries that make it fun.

Now, I’m not saying BYU should join a conference because I understand the downside. But, ISU, UMass, and Liberty excite no one.
