She fought a long battle with cancer
I'm of the opinion that she was one of the best female vocalists in the history of pop/rock music.
It's unfortunate that they didn't have as much staying power in the USA as they did in the rest of the world in spite of several number one hits. Roxette was enormously popular everywhere else in the world. The deserved it too as their catalog has a lot of great music.
