There is a point where it really doesn't make sense to use the drive thru

I think it's probably closer to $100+ rather than $50 though. Complaining about a $50 order is basically ruling out all families and I think that's just petty. But with that being said, more often than not, it's probably the restaurant's fault for something taking a particularly long time. Blaming other customers is just kind of weird, unless it's truly an egregious situation.
