in our early married years. She worked the front desk and had a coworker who was a hostess with which she had fun and had some prank wars. The front desk people asked me for help with a prank. The hostess had never met me so I came into the restaurant to get a table. The hostess came over to ask if I wanted a table. I creepily looked her up and down and said, “I don’t know. Are you on the menu?.” She was an older lady who went bright red. My wife and others could see her and watch her reaction from the front desk. It didn’t take her long to realize the prank, but it was an awkward, funny several seconds.
She got us back a few weeks later with a very official looking, fake notarized letter from the IRS saying we were being audited.
