I've seen a lot of these in the past few years. I have a daughter who loves them and tries to predict the story by filling in these details:

• big city female professional
• returns to hometown for Christmas
• has a conflict that involves a blue collar guy with a scruffy beard
• initially doesn't like the guy
• has to return home
• realizes he is the love of her life.
