Jake has 55 TDs, Bosco had 66, Young 56, and Beck 79
Of note, Young and Bosco essentially only played two seasons, Beck roughly 3 seasons of game time, and Jake has essentially played 2.5 seasons.

If you’re adding rushing TDs, Young had 18, Bosco 4, Beck 9, and Jake has 8.

You’re trying very hard to pump this kid up. Why?

Here’s an honest take of his best season:

2018
CCU - an FCS team. Jake was pedestrian and got the job done

UGA - came out overhyped, overthrowing WRs, an early pic-6 set the tone, the game was already decided by the time he settled down and put up some decent stats

Vandy - nothing special. Did enough to get the job done

Kentucky - he played awful. No other way to describe it. Got injured late.

Missouri - he didn’t play. His backup started and reminded everyone just what completed passes look like. Started a QB controversy.

aTm - Jake returned and played just as awful as he did against Kentucky, pouring fuel on the QB controversy fire.

Tennessee - played a terrible first half. USC fell behind big. QB controversy is now a raging inferno. A dumb unsportsmanlike penalty late in the half after a UT TD gave USC life for the first time all game. Jake played great from there on and orchestrated a comeback win.

Ole Miss - played a very good game in a shoot out. Definitely was a big reason for the win.

Florida - continued his hot streak for 3 more quarters. Then went cold and watched a late 3rd quarter 31-14 lead turn into a 35-31 loss

Chattanooga - Good game against an overmatched opponent

Clemson - Jake’s flat out best game of his entire life. Full stop. The dude was lights out amazing against one of the nation’s very best defenses. Roughly 1/6th of his season stats came in this game. It’s a shame his defense was down to open tryouts in the secondary, because Jake’s performance that night deserved a win, not a 21 pt loss. Clemson fans were ticked at Dabo for letting their proud defense be thoroughly embarrassed. Dabo threatened to leave Clemson if 21 pt victories against their rival weren’t sufficient for the fans.

Akron - the return of bad Jake. He got the win, but good Jake has yet to make another appearance.

UVA - the worst game of his career. Played awful and USC was blanked 28-0.

2019 - Never looked good while building a decent lead, then was useless as UNC mounted a comeback win. Rumor is Jake’s season ending foot injury actually occurred when he kicked his locker afterwards.

So, there it is. Can Jake play amazing? Yes. Can he play amazing or even just good for more than a couple games in a row? Not thus far in his career.
