Natural gas seems to be maybe the cheapest energy source. It's what heats our

house during winter. Our natural gas bill has gone down every year for about 5 years now, even though we seem to use more and more. I can't think of any other bill we pay that hasn't gone up year over year, except for our NG bill.

I think I read that in most parts of the country they just burn off a lot of natural gas that is found as a byproduct of oil drilling and such becaue it's practically worthless to try to capture and sell.

I'm a little bit of a perfectionist and used to try to have all the lights turned off in the rooms we didn't use and had the thermostat turned down during winter to as low as we could handle. Now, with pretty much all energy efficient lighting and with natural gas being so cheap, I stopped worrying and learned to love the beautiful energy supply we enjoy in the good old USA.
