No chance they will repair it. They should run comps for the same year and mileage. You should to the same....
that way you have an idea if you are getting fair market value. If you keep it you will have salvage title issued on the vehicle and it will be up to you to get it in working order for $1,000. Personally, I would take fair market value and move on.
