At SUU as many students care about BYU and UofU athletics than care about SUU athletics. And the needle probably bends Utah's direction with more fan support. At DSU it probably bends more BYU. There are surprisingly a ton of BYU supporters in St. George. In southern Utah you're either a BYU fan, a Utah fan, or a BYU hater. So when you wear gear on or off-campus you're going to get a bunch of "go Cougs!" but you'll also get some "they stink" or "I bet you wish you were a Ute". Not much malice, we're not seen as a rival.
