Stormlight books are significantly larger and more involved similar to traditional fantasy epics. Can be very intimidating.

Probably better off continuing the Mistborn storyline (well of ascension and hero of ages if she hasn't read those yet; Wax and Wayne books if she has). After that I'd try other stuff like warbreaker and elantris to get invested in the broader cosmere before jumping into stormlight.
