You are basically claiming that BYU is nearly equal with GU. I love my Cougs,
but let's not get carried away. BYU can only play with Gonzaga with hot shooting, and there will be off nights. My guess is that there will be a solid GU win in one game and a competitive game in the other. I'd give BYU a 50/50 of winning a single game, for a projected win total of 1/2 a game out of 2 tries.
But BYU doesn't need to beat Gonzaga. We need to beat SMC at least once, and have the potential to beat them twice.
