The kid couldn't get a more experienced group of tenured and seasoned guys to learn and develop from than what he'd have around him in Dallas. McCarthy and Philbin on offense, Tomsula and Nolan on defense. A complete 180 from the rag tag staff of inexperienced former players, up and comers, and then Marinelli.
I get the appeal of the college ranks and going back to his home state, but I am sure he'd make more money in Dallas and the experience to tutor under former HC's and experienced coordinators that all had success as assistants is invaluable. He'd be left on an island in UW to learn and develop on his own. If he stays in Dallas he'd be setting himself up for the long haul with his career.
