Several reasons.
Most patients I know who don’t like them know someone who was addicted, overdosed or even died by opioids. If they don’t they have heard a lot about it on the news, and another really common reason is it hurts their stomach to use them.
Plenty will use them for short term but those are the common reasons I’ve come across.
