The problem isn't the players getting paid, the problem is the big schools do whatever they want (see the UNC cheating scandal, SEC getting talent that goes to the highest bidder) and nothing happens to them. It was an "oversight" that the school just coincidentally had happen.
Compare that to BYU: an oversight occurs with Yoeli's paperwork and he gets slapped with a 9 game suspension. The game is currently rigged in favor of the big schools and the NCAA insists they have integrity. The NCAA needs to either enforce the rules or remove all barriers.
They have been keeping the little guy down while allowing players at big schools to get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for years now.
