Yes, it's largely about how you use it. But everyone thinks they can use it well and "manage" their social media time, but many can't, especially teens. So I worry the conversation will go like this:

"Well, ok, you can have a smartphone and social media if you only use social media intentionally."

"Sure Dad."

...... a few months later

Dad: "What's happened to our daughter, she's become such a zombie."

Teens will think they can manage their social media better than they will be, and it's so addictive, it's easy to get sucked in really, REALLY fast.
