I hate it. What's the glory of putting together a team made up of high school students that didn't even live in the boundary? It is cheating. It is creating an unfair advantage and hopefully the fact that 3 schools can't field a team because high schools next to them are recruiting their athletes is a wake up call for the uhssa to crack down on things more.
When I played ball- we despised Skyline because they were good consistently for one reason- open enrollment. I played with guys I grew up with, went to the same schools, with few exceptions. The few who moved in during high school were coming from out of state and it wasn't for putting them on a team that would get them the best exposure.
Honestly, I think athletics these days are a joke in how over the top serious they are. Parents take it too serious. It's a dang game. I wish there was a strong stance to discourage the transferring.
