That was a huge factor in the Patriots' success. If Mahomes takes the max amount, it will be hard for the chiefs to keep such a strong team around him.

I'm not saying Reid isn't a huge part of it. But if Chiefs fans are dreaming of a 20 yr dynasty a la New England, they better hope Mahomes gives them a discount and that the front office is willing and has the football smarts enough to continue to build the team around him.
