And honestly I think it was a grind when we were kids, too, but we had time for it. At my age (43), practicing and just messing around on a guitar for a couple hours a day is very hard to do. Kids have so much time on their hands, even going into college, that it makes learning something far easier.

We have to squish it between a million other things in life.

That being said, yes, you can definitely still learn and become quite good at an instrument, if you dedicate the time to it.
