It is stupid. I give them grief anytime I'm there and I see a dog. One of my
kids is allergic to dogs - not life threatening but still a huge pain.
I ask them every time about people who are allergic to dogs like my son and they don't have an answer. I guess the people who want to bring their dogs everywhere are more vocal/pushy/presumptuous and so the rest of us get to accommodate them....
