I don't know the answer and am curious as to how its recorded.

If a player is fouled in the act of shooting and another player blocks the shot after the release - does it count as a blocked shot? and if not - why not? If the basket counts why wouldn't a block shot count?

help me out here. I've lost too much sleep over this question.
