Smack'sWife All-American
I was about 7 months pregnant when I took my daughters (ages almost 3 & 20 months) to an indoor play place. They climbed
to the top of a structure where the only way to get them was either by climbing up a long, narrow tube slide, or climbing up a series of platforms with staggered holes to fit through. It was time to go, they wouldn't come down, and I couldn't physically get them. I went through all the methods of convincing a toddler to comply, and they all failed. Finally, I told them that if they didn't come down right then, we'd never go back there again. They still didn't come down.

I asked an employee to help, and she climbed up and put them down the tube slide, where I caught one and buckled her into the double-stroller, then did the same with the next kid.

Even though we drove by that place and they wanted to go back, we never entered that play place again. When they asked why not, I reminded them of the incident.
