The foam is great for cushion, but I've never found a shoe that has done much for improving
my foot strike. The only thing that has helped me with foot strike is increasing my cadence, and doing a ton of posterior chain work (deadlifts, planks, etc.).

I love Nike running shoes, and have the Pegasus Turbo 2 (the normal Pegasus are terrible), Zoom Fly 3 and now the Reacts. I like them all. Rotate them throughout the week.

Also, Hokas never worked for me because the heel-to-toe drop was way too small for my achilles. And the huge surface area on the bottom of the shoe was awkward.
