Too bad they forget the wins by g5 and even Dll schools over p5s. There are numerous dead weights in the p5 ranks. Just look how weak the pac 10 1/2 South has been the past few years. Then you add schools like Vandy, Kansas, KSU, TT, Syracuse, Rutgers, Mississippi, Tennessee, etc.

Before anyone goes ape crap thinking I am suggesting g5 schools can compete against the “current” likes of LSU, Clemson and other top p5s. I am not, but don’t forget 50 Other p5 schools can’t either.

I think having a National title for g5 will serve as throwing crumbs to appease with a small payout compared to p5’s lottery.

Too bad conf. don’t adopt soccers method of determining level of competition. If you win, you move up a level. If you lose, you drop a level.
