I don't think that the seats should be designed recline.
In my opinion it provides more inconvenience to the person behind you than it provides comfort to you. Or, they should design the seats to slide forward to recline rather than moving backward into the other person's space.

I'm 6'4". Sometimes there is literally nowhere for the seat in front of me to recline into. But that doesn't always stop
