We had some success with the mapping until it got stuck once and the robot was moved in the middle of cleaning and the whole map was messed up. I deleted the map and had it start over and it is working perfectly now. Also it looks like there were two major software updates in the month of December (with the last happening after Christmas) that allegedly fixed mapping issues. So make sure you have the most up to date version of the app running on your phone.
