I was blessed to interact with Kobe a couple of times. I'm not pretending we were friends. It just happened a couple times.

I was with a group once when he was asked where he saw himself on the all time great list.

I was amazed at the profound answer that he gave. He responded that he actually didn't care. He was retired at this point and he said when he was playing basketball he was focused on being the greatest basketball player ever. Now that he was done his focus was to be the greatest of what he was currently doing. That was it. No looking back at all. Singular focus like no person I've ever seen.

This is such a sad day. I'm in shock.
