I’m not disagreeing with anything here, but the metric used...
...is distance traveled.

But what about per trip taken? There are literally billions of car trips taken each day in the U.S. And though many people die each day in car accidents, the overall percentage of fatalities per trip has got to be lower than the percentage of fatal small airplane/helicopter crashes.

But heck, maybe I’m wrong.

I would just feel like I’d control my own destiny more in a car, at the very least.
