My job has good benefits, including sick leave. I probably take a sick day once

every month or two due to doctor’s appointments and/or just not feeling well in general.

My philosophy is that if you get leave time, then it gets used. I realize that some people can bank their sick leave for an earlier retirement, but I’ve otherwise never understood why people wear the “I never take time off for being sick” like some badge of honor.
