Once he had his talk with Kalani he called a half a dozen schools that were showing him interest. The recruiting process is interesting and I have seen it discounted here many times. For example my son had Fresno State tell him point blank that if he would commit to not going on a mission they would offer him on the spot. Both UCLA and Kansas State without saying it out right told him that if he would come to their camp he would be offered. We had 50 letters from k-state but once he committed he called the other coaches. Many of these BYU kids have interest cooled when they commit, but at the Poly bowl where many of the top talent in the mainland participated, my son and other BYU kids competed equally.
