I keep seeing people say he isn't a proven starting NFL QB. This doesn't make sense because neither are all these 1st round QBs who are starting. I think NO would have made TH the back up to DB this year had he not been a victim of his own talents. SP had an idea on what he wanted his offense to look like and TH was a huge part of that so having Bridgewater be the backup, providing insurance was the way he went. With DB more seriously considering retirement now would be the time to bring in TH in a more serious qb roll. I think the best case scenario would be to hope DB is willing to come back in a more limited roll and a little pay cut and pay TH 10M to be the backup. NO cant afford to have TB and TH. So the other option would be to sign TB and then pick up Jordan Love in the draft. All depends on what DB decides to do. Honestly I think DB is a stand up guy and would be willing to take the pay cut in the best interest of the team.
