but what separates recruiting and maximizing those recruit’s potential is coaching.  Quite honestly, neither Bronco (the last 5-6 years in Provo) nor KS and current staff are great at 2,3,4, 5 star recruits and developing them so they can achieve their goals (I bet every player on BYU wants to go to the NFL).  You can say well this graph just shows recruiting, true.  I would be curious to see what our hit rate is on overall recruits vs how many make it to the NFL (my guess is, our hit rate isn’t great).  I’m just saying that right now, we lack two components to have a consistent Top 25 football program year in year out: recruits x great coaching = successful football program.  Look back at when KS took the job, he said a big indicator of a successful program is when you’re putting a lot of guys in the pros year after year.  I hope recruiting improves and coaching improves so we can get back to where we once were.
