For this type of stage it needs to be someone who is a performer more so than a
singer. I'm not a big Shakira or J-Lo fan, but that type of production (lights/dancing/choreography/etc.) is better than a singer or group just standing there and playing/singing.
For example from 2008-2010 they had Tom Petty, Springsteen, and the Who.....not nearly as entertaining as Bruno Mars or Justin Timberlake in this setting.
