A lot of people on here forgetting what being a young player in the league is like because guys like Luka have instant success.

Take a look at Dame’s game log this year and you will find that he has games where he struggles every bit as much as Donovan has these past few games (seriously atrocious shooting nights for them both - perhaps more from Dame even). But Dame obviously has superior games to counter his inferior ones. The again, Dame is in his 8th year in the league and plays in position. Donovan is in his 3rd year and plays much of the game out of his natural position, which is PG.

I remember watching young Dame drive to the basket thinking he gets no respect from refs. I see that in Mitchell now also.

Donovan will be fine. Will he get to Dame’s level? Probably not but any improvement from where he is now is still a great player. And Don usually comes out of these slumps with some new facet of his game.
