You sound like one of the kind of folks that is happy with the football program because that “football is fifth” guy is finally gone.
BYU has never had the kind of players necessary to be an elite defensive team. Closest we ever got was the 2011 team. Go back and watch those SDSU games and tell me defense was optional. Same with the Gonzaga games with his later teams.
But hey, if it makes you feel better to find weaknesses and take shots at a guy who won more at BYU than anyone else, with many of the all-time program wins, all while beating cancer, you go right ahead.
