but I generally look for sales to get the best rates.  I have flown to Europe about 25 times, and I've flown on miles about 10 times. 

In 2018 I used 90k for RT tickets to London for me and my girlfriend.

I got the Chase card when it was 100,000 miles to sign up.  I've put another 25,000 or so on it.  I just cashed in about 73,000 for SLC-Shanghai (United), Shanghai-Singapore (China Eastern) and Singapore-SLC (Cathay Pacific / American).

I used United miles a few years ago for RT to Sydney.

If I can't get something nicer like Emeriates, for me it's Delta >>>> United  >>>>>>> American.

I just signed up for the Southwest card at the airport yesterday and hope to use the points for Hawaii.
